Providing education, shelter, and food.

Sixteen years ago, what began as a simple step of faith turned into something much greater.

Rita Sweet first traveled to Haiti thinking it would be a short-term mission trip. Instead, it became a long-term calling to serve children and families in the mountains of Paypourey.

While serving in Acushnet, Rita met a Haitian woman working to support a school and orphanage. Through that connection, she became involved with a small school of about 100 children. During that time, she met Jackson, a newly trained pastor, and asked him to lead the church and school. He has now faithfully served that community for over 13 years.

Today, the school has grown to nearly 500 children—providing education, care, and hope for the future.

For many years, there has been a shared prayer to build an orphanage for vulnerable children. Through the faithful support of the church community—through prayer, fundraising, and generosity—that vision is becoming a reality, with the foundation already in place.

Progress continues despite challenges, including water shortages that have temporarily paused construction. With the coming rainy season, there is hope to move forward.

This mission exists to provide children with a safe place, education, and people who care deeply for them.

You can be part of this work through prayer, support, or by using your gifts to serve.

What began with one step of faith is now impacting hundreds of lives—and the story is still being written.
